We're so delighted to have discovered this place. Its small and blends in, but its worth searching for. Mark & Lorenzo have created an outstanding little cafe / brunch / wine bar / salad bar. The menu is focused and everything is delicious, and everything is clearly made with love and skill. The soup (lentil) was delicious, the lentil, aubergine, and chorizo salads were all exemplary, and the desserts were sublime. Wine by the glass is just an extra cherry ontop. If you're hungry, or simply appreciate good food and supporting a wonderful local business, please visit. We'll certainly be back regularly.

Cracking dog friendly cafe. We popped in for coffee and cake. We had the mini bread and butter pudding and a brownie. Yum! Im really fussy about decaf coffee and this one was really good. Staff were lovely and the place had a very relaxed atmosphere. We'll definitely be back for more cakes.

To begin at the beginning, community is at the heart of this cosy café. A short walk away from Calton Hill on the bustling London Road, with a view of the Abbey Hill Colonies, I had a sense of familiarity right from the moment I stepped in. I have to admit, I adore cafés and bars with large windows: if I am too busy to visit, I still find it delightful to see other people getting comfortable, sipping a drink, reading a book, meeting up somewhere simply to enjoy being together. I have noticed this atmosphere here in this little café. It isn't just a café but a place where I found that people were relaxed. It was busy, but not crowded or noisy. Some people were chatting, some reading, and the owner was having conversations with them in between attending to arriving customers. He is polite and if there isn't much to talk about, I had the impression he lets his passion and dedication speak on his account. The food, drinks, decor, the whole place tell a story. My wife and I ate apple cake and tiramisu. We savoured every spoonful. At every bite we felt the warmth of home: familiar tastes and fragrances that brought back pleasant memories. Well made, sound coffee and hot chocolate sealed the deal. This wasn't a trip for just a Sunday afternoon coffee. It turned out to be a discovery of somewhere to hide when things get a bit too busy out there. We will visit again. We also heard from the owner that there are some events. One of these is a returning happy customer-led book club. I’m so happy they didn't open yet another vaping shop in this city. When things are done with heart and soul, the community grows stronger. I have good feelings about the future.

Lovely friendly cafe on London Road with a small number of seats. Staff are very friendly and the coffee was nice quality and the filled bagel was excellent. Bought a couple of pistachio financiers to take away and the were delicious. Would pop back in to try more of their sandwiches and cakes in the future

Amazing all around! An absolute hidden gem that should not be missed by coffee lovers and foodies alike! I cannot commend enough the owners for the amazing attention to detail, dedication, and craft they show to everything they are selling in their shop. The homemade sandwiches and cakes/desserts are incredibly delicious, bursting with flavour, and just feed the soul! I definitely had the best Basque Cheesecake outside of Spain; totally worth the extra calories! Pair everything up with very tasty coffee, and you definitely have an amazing pit stop to start the day or recharge! Should we return to Edinburgh, we will return without a doubt!
